Face Yoga

Face Yoga is a series of exercises that tones and relaxes your face muscles.

Enthusiasts of facial Yoga says that the routine practice of making these funny faces can eliminate and reduce lines and wrinkles.

Let's try out some of these face yoga poses!

Picture 4 - Surprise Me
- Widen eyes without wrinkling brow
- Focus on a point on the horizon for 5 – 10 seconds
- Repeat 4 times

Picture 5 - Lion Face
- Inhale through nose, make fists and squeeze face muscles
- Exhale through mouth, stick out tongue, roll eyes and open hands
- Repeat 3 times

Picture 8 - Smiling Fish Face
- Firm & tone cheeks and lips
- Smile while slightly pursing lips
- Withdraw & pinch cheeks into the hollows of your face
- Repeat 5 times

Exercising plays an important part to having a healthy lifestyle even when you have asthma.

Do not avoid exercises and let yourself get out of shape as it is bad for asthma.

Exercising should be part of your routine and you should aim to work out for about 30 minutes, 4 to 5 days a week.

Yoga is one of the best exercises for people with asthma.

Going for a low intensity, beginner yoga class is a great way to start up your exercise program as Yoga is all-around stress-relieving with gentle stretches and a slower pace workout compared to others.

Studies as shown that yoga training over 10 weeks significantly improved the quality of life scores for women with mild to moderate asthma.
