"Empowering Your Yoga Practice with Food!"

 12th November 2017, 10.30am to 12.30pm

The Yoga Diet is the key to your practice! There is a lot of confusion around what are the right foods to eat, and what are the foods that will nourish a practitioner's body and soul. Ask the question, what diet is best for me and you will get as many different answers as there are individuals. We are all bio individuals and will learn how to become more aware of how food effects the quality of our yoga practice, relationships & LIFE! We will learn how focusing on quality, source, how and where our food is grown, raised, treated, and prepared affects us. The power of supplements, herbs, and spices. How important our environment, rituals and our emotional state effects our relationship to food and quality of digestion & absorption.

Yoga with MARK ROBBERDS

Mark Robberds has been practising yoga since 1997. He is a Certified Ashtanga Yoga teacher (one of the few Certified by KPJAYI) and has been travelling regularly to India to practise with the late, legendary Guru Sri. K. Pattabhi Jois, and his grandson R. Sharath, of Mysore, since 1999. Mark has trained as an apprentice, with Eileen Hall from 1999-2005, at YogaMoves in Sydney. He has taught the busiest Mysore programme in Australia at that time.

Mark has studied extensively with some of the world's best yoga teachers including Richard Freeman and Dena Kingsberg, and he continues to learn from masters in various disciplines in his quest to reach the highest point of human evolution. His teaching reflects the essence of these influences. In 2004, Mark realised that he wanted to live purposefully in this lifetime. A part of that journey involves travelling the world and to delve deeper into his love for yoga, surfing, teaching, and music. And doing so, to find the thread that connects them all.

He has been teaching workshops, retreats and as an international guest teacher since 2005. Mark wishes to share the teachings of yoga in a way that inspires people to develop a passion and love for the practice. His teachings are customized to the needs of each individual student as he focuses on helping each student reach their full potential in life.
