GO GREEN WITH A YOGA STUDIO!
1) Energy Consumption
Always turn off electrical points when you leave or not in use. You'll save energy on hefty bills itself, but also on cooling costs, as lights or most electrical appliances such as hair-dryer, laptops and charger contribute heat to a room.
2) Shower Timing
Every two minutes you save on your shower can conserve more than ten gallons of water. If everyone in the country saved just one gallon from their daily shower, over the course of the year it would equal twice the amount of freshwater withdrawn from the Great Lakes every day. A great example is to brush or applying facial without running waters continuously. Limit the amount of time in the shower if you could
3) Usage of Yoga Materials/Accessories
Do use as and when needed/necessary for the right purpose on any circumstances. Avoid wastage or unnecessary materials taken but not used efficiently or effectively. This applies to such usage of blocks, belts and towels that others might need it more.
4) Dispose of Item with Care
Unwanted items should not be tipped down the drain - the residues end up in our waterways especially when its convenient do dump it in the shower area. This will clogged the piping systems. Do dump it at the bin.
Take what you've learned, and pass the knowledge on to others. If every person you know could take one small step toward being greener, the collective effort could be phenomenal.
