Many people have become so used to living with pain that they have forgotten how liberating it is to be pain free. This workshop will bring instant relief to backache and will teach how to strengthen the back's muscles to support good posture, to come into a safe and informed regular yoga practice, and on techniques to relieve chronic backache that can be done easily at home without assistance. 1.Understand the spine, its anatomy, musculature, function and form 2. Understanding the causes of back pain 3. Learn to strengthen the spine's supporting musculature and pelvic floor 4. Learn to liberate the fascia and relax tense muscles with myofascial release 5. Be advised on lifestyle habits that nurture a pain-free back This 3 hour workshop is suitable for yoga practitioners of all levels who have minor to severe backache, not necessarily caused by their yoga practice. It is also suitable for people who are experiencing severe back pain who are not able to participate in a generic yoga class or fitness activities due to their pain. Participants should come comfortably dressed to sit and lie on the floor, and should bring along any medical reports of their back pain diagnosis in situations where the cause of the pain has been diagnosed by a medical professional. Chairs can be provided for participants who are unable to sit on the floor for long periods of time. .

Myofascial Release is a safe and very effective technique that involves applying sustained pressure into the myofascial connective tissue restrictions to eliminate pain and to restore motion. In this workshop you will learn how easy it is to be pain free from techniques that you can do at home, Learn to release your entire body from tension and pain in this two hour workshop. The physical act of liberating the fascia enables the individual to come into emotional balance and to be joyful, calm and rested. This workshop is especially good for people who deal constantly with back, shoulder and hip pain. For people who are undergoing stressful and frustrating periods in their lives where they feel constantly suppressed. For people who want to increase their range of motion and to move comfortably without restriction. Many students who have been introduced to myofascial release in my Yin Yoga and Therapy classes have seen immediate relief to pain they have had for months or even years.

This 2 hour workshop will cover:

- what is myofascial release

- myofascial release for the back

- myofascial release for the hips

- mysofascial release for digestive organs

- myofascial emotional release


Workshop is hands-on and participants should be dressed in yoga attire or comfortable clothes that will allow them to roll around comfortably on the floor. participants do not need to be existing yoga practitioners as this is something that is easy for someone not doing yoga to be able to attend.
